My parents have epically raised us five kids on a single income. A school teachers income. I've gained much of my frugality from it. (that's a good thing!) I know it wasn't (isn't) always easy, but we never went without anything we needed; Our God has always provided. I remember many occasions where we needed a specific item, and the same day, someone would give us the very thing we needed because they had too much of it themselves. We never expressed a need, but God knew and had already provided a way to meet it. Matthew 6.25,26, 31-34; "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?.... Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and ask these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Christ provided for for five thousand people from a little boys lunch. He can provide for you and your family! God provides! That is something I have been personally shown this past year over and over and over again. He not only provides, but provides exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. I could tell you story after story of ways my God has provided for me, but I'm trying to get this posted by tomorrow! My life is proof of His goodness. I don't take each provision as something that happened by chance, because I know it didn't. Each was a deliberate blessing from God. I am at a loss for words right now, I'm overwhelmed with.... Him. He is interested in every detail of my life! I am so blessed!
