I was asked many times this past week where new blog posts are. I realize, they are getting few and far between as of late. That is not intentional, and I'm not giving out. Rather, I've had my hands full with many things including the process of writing a book. Consequently, Life Of A Lizard has gotten placed on the back burner many days. Balance between a book and a blog is still something I'm trying to work out. But, I'll get there. Now, let's continue.

A few years back, my little brother was playing in our laundry basket. Apparently, it was a castle/fort thing. My nephew who was at our house then decided he wanted to join in on the excitement. As the little one and a half year old was placed into the basket, he seemed to be enjoying himself. Until my little brother decided to tell him it was his cage. "You're locked up now... you can't get out.", He told my nephew. Instantly, my nephew's attitude toward being in the basket changed. He no longer wanted to be in there! A split second earlier he was laughing and loving being in the basket... now, he's trying with all his might to get out of it. When he viewed it as a Castle, he was content and happy within it. But, within the exact same circumstance, but a different attitude, he instantly despised it and tried desperately to escape the confinement.
I'm sure this experience has happened to you before; loose something and are looking for it. Searching everywhere, to no avail. Even in the least likely places. Then, someone comes over and points to the most obvious place it could be, and there it is. Right in front of your face. Yesterday, I was looking for the pepperoncini, which are my alternative to Jalapenos. I looked through every shelf of that fridge. At least twice. I accepted the fate that they were gone. Until my little brother asked me what I was looking for, and pointed directly in front of me. Yes, it was right in front of me; label facing the right way and everything. I couldn't see what was staring me in the face. Instantly, I began writing this post in my head.
Psalms 145.14-19
"The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. |
