I'm sure this experience has happened to you before; loose something and are looking for it. Searching everywhere, to no avail. Even in the least likely places. Then, someone comes over and points to the most obvious place it could be, and there it is. Right in front of your face. Yesterday, I was looking for the pepperoncini, which are my alternative to Jalapenos. I looked through every shelf of that fridge. At least twice. I accepted the fate that they were gone. Until my little brother asked me what I was looking for, and pointed directly in front of me. Yes, it was right in front of me; label facing the right way and everything. I couldn't see what was staring me in the face. Instantly, I began writing this post in my head. What about when we are struggling through something and seeking answers; searching for answers on what to do. Nothing makes sense and has hard as we try, we can't seem to find them, even though they're staring us down and right in front of our face. I couldn't see what I was looking for because I was expecting it to be hidden, and overlooking the obvious. I was anticipating it to be hard to find, so I looked past it. I'm realizing that every answer in life, in reality, is very simple. Humans tend to make it complicated and confusing, but God's expectations and desires are simple, and public. He's not playing hide and seek. We often expect them to be hidden somewhere and we must search them out. However, almost always, we already know the answer, we're just not accepting it as it is because we're expecting it to be hidden.
Ecc. 12:13, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." Micah 6:8, "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" Mark 12: 30 & 31, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Others can see things you can't. Parents, Pastors, and other Godly Authority in your life are there for a reason; to help you become who He wants you to be. Ask them. Listen to them. Trust them. They can often see things that you can't. Whether by means of experience, observation, or simply the fact that they are viewing your circumstance under a different light. We can get all caught up in our issues that it blurs our vision and we can't see the obvious. That's when we need to go to someone who CAN. This has been extremely short and simple, but I wanted to share it with y'all.
