Grace can be found in darkest valleys, and the highest mountaintops. Often, experiences are sprinkled with both dark and light; Both fear and faith; Loss and gain; Heartbreak and healing. Neither lack the hand of the Lord. He is working in both situations. By His grace we are here, saved, loved, and by grace will we carry on. Have you had those times when you told someone something in confidence and they turn around and tell other people? You shared a very personal part of your heart - and they knew it - only for them to share it with others. Those others share with even more people, and it snowballs from there. Eventually it makes it back to you and there is no denying where it started. How do you feel?
Vulnerable? Exposed? Embarrassed? Disappointed? Betrayed? Hurt? Angry? *Raises Hand* Then what? Bitterness and resentment? That’s one option. But you have a choice to rewrite the story and add a plot twist... “Then, grace.” Once upon a time, My baby wasn’t supposed to even be able to exist. Or so they said. She wasn’t supposed to be able to survive pregnancy all the way to be given a birthday. Or so they said. I was“high-risk” for multiple reasons. Or so they said. It could be dangerous for my health to have her. Or so they said. She would probably have heart/lung problems. Or so they said. We aren’t supposed to be able to have you in our arms right now. But here she is. 😍 We were told many things, but trusted that what God said and would do is greater than that, even if it meant she would be in His presence before our own. God had bigger plans that included Jaelynn. Because of that, we were given a beautiful, squishy gift of Grace. 💕 She has a purpose. She was created. He has a plan for her life. She is loved. Her life constantly reminds me of God’s goodness and grace. We were given grace, and now our little gift of Jaelynn Grace, therefore we ought to also offer gifts of grace to others. Despite how you feel or how deep the wrong, you have the ability to forgive, yell, "plot twist", and move on. You can channel your Oprah Winfrey (for this one moment) if you’d like. 😅 “You get grace, you get grace, EVERYONE GETS GRACE!” What a release. What a great way to live! Even if..., Even when..., Grace.
