This song was a song sang by three girls during the music competitions at my Camp this year. It’s one of those songs that made your jaw drop. No one was expecting these lyrics to come out of their mouth. It is an extremely fun song, yet, at that moment, I fought tears. A few good men
We don’t need a scrawny boy not big enough to fight. We don’t need a momma’s boy afraid to sleep at night. We don’t need a pretty boy stuck on himself (that’s right). We just need a few good men. We just need a godly man who’ll keep the six inch rule. Who keeps his hands to himself, who doesn’t act a fool. A man who read his KJV, we think that’s so cool. We just need a few good men. Men who have good fashion, no plaid shirts with striped ties. Men who take us out to eat, and aren’t afraid to buy. We feel like we’re barbies searching for our Ken. We just need a few good men. A man who’ll meet my daddy and look Him in the eyes. A man that asks for my hand who’ll love me till I die. A man who knows to end each fight with “yes dear, you are right”. We just need a few good men.
